For those planning to visit Langkawi this month be advised that there are two national, public holidays celebrated and as such February will be a busy month for hotels on Langkawi. First up is Chinese New Year on 14-15 February where all of Malaysia's Chinese community will welcome in the Year of the Tiger followed by the observance of Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday on 26th February.

As always, be advised that most hotels on Langkawi are fully booked on weekends and public holidays and with these two national holidays 'creating' 3 day weekends Langkawi hotels will be especially busy the 12-16 February and 26-28 February. So if you plan to visit either of these two weekends, better to book as early as possible to get the hotel of your choice at the best possible rate.
